Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to become acquainted with fundamental physiological processes in the human body and biocybernetical modeling of these processes. Specifically, with the basics of physiology - physiological principles, neurophysiology, locomotion of the organism, heart activity, blood circulation, respiratory system, excretory system; Biosignals - measurement methods, sensors, signal processing and diagnosis of abnormalities and above all Modeling and simulation of biological systems - medical problem analysis, special methods of modeling in biology and medicine (special simulation techniques), biocybernetic models.

Exam: appropriate knowledge of presented material and practiced examples

Fundamental physiological principles. Monitoring systems of the organism, sensors, medical signal processing. Modeling and simulation of biological systems. Pharmacokinetics. Analysis of medical problems, case studies.
