Course objectives:
|
Understand to remote sensing principles. Analyze properties of image information, interpret such information, design and create an algorithm for processing of image information with the goal to recognize of earth surface properties contained in image.

Content
|
Remote sensing - definition and relevance, division of RS methods. Physical background of RS, properties of electromagnetic radiation, influence of electromagnetic radiation by atmosphere. Pre-processing of RS image information, filtration and enhancement, frequency analysis, segmentation. Description of objects and their classification. Study of dynamic phenomena. 3D processing. Radiation properties of landscape objects - surface without vegetation, vegetaion surface, water. System of data acquisition by distance methods, conventional and non-conventional methods, scanning devices. RS in thermal part of spectrum, image spectrometry, active radar systems. Satelite orbits, overview of satelites.
