Course objectives:
|
Student will be acquainted with systems, tools and technologies of control, regulation and management of buildings and their operation, principles of their intelligence, requirements for individual approach, evaluation of acquired parameters, data handling, presentation of results, creation of documents for building operation optimization, relationship BMS / BAS for intelligent buildings, maximizing the benefits of building intelligence to owners and users, predicting the possible evolution of building intelligence requirements with regard to social developments (energy, water, security, etc.).

Active knowledge of lectured and exercised subject matter and the ability to apply it in the solution of specific problems.

1. Introduction - types of buildings from the control point of view; individual regulation requirements
2. Structural subsystems of buildings - thermal zones, passive control elements
3. Building energy systems and their control
4. Instrumentation (sensor equipment)- basic instrumentation; measured signals and their specifics; processing and evaluation of measured variables
5. Fundamentals of building modeling and their components - basic types of model approaches and their use for building subsystems
6. Basics of system identification - basic techniques for identification of non-measurable parameters of models
7. Basics of control - field level control and supervisory control systems
8. Optimization of buildings energy systems
9. Multicriterial optimization - price, wear, user comfort
10. Monitoring of the operation of buildings and energy equipment - storage and processing of measured signals; methods for signal evaluation (analytic)
11. Predictive maintenance
12. Information and communication technologies - means of communication, data formats; ontology description of buildings / BIM
