Course objectives:

The aim of the final state examination is to verify that a student successfully passed the part of the degree course given by prerequisites, that he/she can actively use and apply mathematical methods and knowledge of part given by prerequisites, that he/she gained the necessary expert skills and knowledge to move into professional practice, or to further studies. In addition, presentation and argumentation skills are also aimed.

Requirements on student
|
All assessment tasks will assess the learning outcomes, especially, the ability to provide logical and coherent proofs of theoretical results, solve problems via abstract methods and apply correctly formal and rigorous competency in mathematical presentation.

Content
|
Final state examination the oral examination in front of the jury and the usual duration is approximately 30-45 minutes. The
rules are given by the Department of Mathematics according to the Study and Examination statuses of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the University of West Bohemia. Main topics of this examination are announced by the Department of mathematics annually. Content is given by prerequisites.

A student may take the final exam after he/she has met all requirements given in the curriculum design of the appropriate study filed set up by the Department of Mathematics and all rules contained in the Study and Examination state of the University of West Bohemia. |
