Course objectives:

Introduction to basic numerical methods with MATLAB. Lectures take place in Laboratory of computing modelling of Department of Mathematics.

Requirements on student
|
Students should have a basic knowledge of mathematical analysis and linear algebra.
Assignment requirements:
Successful elaboration at least 50 % of problems from the following themes:
- Algebraic and matrix iterative algorithms
- Algorithms for solving linear algebraic system
- Function approximations (spline function, L2-approximation)
- Algorithms for computation of derivative and integral
- Algorithms for initial value problems for ordinary differential equations
