Course objectives:

The main aim of the Bachelor Thesis defence is to prove an ability of the student to work independently and creative at a subject area. A main emphasis is puted on a choice of the methods, creating a relevant theoretic basis, analysis of the foundations and own his contribution to problem.

Requirements on student
|
The assesment of the thesis work is mainly based on the thesis itself and also on the argumentation of the student during his defining. It is required
- systematic and independence work
- carry out specific projects and formular of determined facts
- critically evaluate the results of own work and adopted works.

Content
|
The course is offered to the students who finishes their bachelor studies. The student is supposed to prepare the defence with respect to the report(s) written by the supervisor, eventually a further reviewer. The student is obliged to response all comments and to answer all additional questions. The usual duration is appx. 30 minutes including the presentation, answering additional questions and the evaluation by the exam committee.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
splnit všechny prerekvizity dané studijním plánem konkrétního oboru garantovaného katedrou mechaniky a všechny podmínky stanovené Studijním a zkušebním řádem Západočeské univerzity v Plzni |
odevzdat svoji bakalářskou práci v daném termínu |
orientovat se v experimentálním a matematickém modelování vázaných mechanických soustav |
popsat a vysvětlit někeré základní kostitutivní vztahy pro termoelasticé těleso |
popsat dynamiku lineárních mechanických soustav |
popsat pružnost a pevnost základních poddajných těles a speciálních 1D kontinuí (nosník, prut, rám)

formulovat a řešit úlohy statiky a dynamiky pro vázané mechanické soustavy |
popsat a řešit deformačně-napjatostní charakteristiky pružných těles (nosník, prut,rám,lineární úlohy elastostatiky), elastotermodynamika) |
popsat metody zjišťování a řešit experimentální modální charakteristiky mechanických soustav |
použít numerické metody řešení úloh pro diskrétní mechanické soustavy

popsat a řešit pohybové rovnice diskrétních mechanických soustav (kinetostatika a vlastní dynamika) |
