Course objectives:

Professional practice of 6 weeks must be completed by students of Civil Engineering - Modern Buildings study programme. The aim is to lead the students to confront the theoretical knowledge acquired by studying with the real state in the integrated design and realization of modern buildings, to recognize the important differences of theory and observed reality and the ability to make suggestions for possible improvements in the unsatisfactory state; to obtain the necessary documents and practical experience for the elaboration of the practical part of the diploma thesis.

Requirements on student

Requirements for credit:
- confirmation of completion of the practice
- report on professional practice
The report (at least 6 pages of text in addition to the attachments) must contain the characteristics of the company, workplace, etc., description of the practice content, its evaluation and contribution to the student.

Content
|
The content of the professional practice is to get acquainted with the environment of the chosen expert area, use of knowledge in the elaboration of the input analysis of the given problem and proposal of the solution procedure of the practical part of the diploma thesis.
The practice must be carried out at some of following building industry organization:
- at the contractor,
- at an architectural or design office,
- with a developer, investor or engineering organization active in the preparation or realization of constructions,
- in the organization of the production of building materials and construction products.
