A student will get acquainted with general parameters, requirements and limits influencing the design of residential buildings and public buildings:
1. Residential buildings - climate, construction, space, operation of living space.
2. Basic division of residential buildings, terminology, functional and construction technical requirements for the design of residential buildings.
3. Premises of an apartment and a family house, their operational connections. Local program, layout diagram of a family house.
4. Basic assumptions of sustainable, energy-efficient design of residential buildings.
5. Living spaces and accessory spaces in a family and apartment house.
6. Typological types of family houses, principles of disposition creation.
7. Current trends in the design of houses, examples and analysis of layout solutions.
8. Apartment houses - characteristics, classification, terminology, functional and construction technical requirements.
9. Apartment houses - typological types - examples and analysis of layout solutions.
10. Current trends in apartment design.
11. Urbanization, public space of living environment.
12. Typology of public buildings - influences, limits and spatial concept of public buildings
13. Designing the layout of buildings for people with reduced mobility and orientation
